Try your hand at willow weaving!

After creating a willow trellis for my show garden at Harrogate Flower Show in 2019, I had a lot of enquiries about willow weaving workshops.

As a result, a programme of courses is offered here at a variety of venues. Apart from in my own garden, I now offer workshops at Raincliffe Woods, Ebberston Studios, Beck Isle Museum, Helmsley Walled Garden, Danby Lodge, Sledmere Garden, Eden Camp and North Yorkshire Art School.

Hopefully you can find something which appeals. If you have something in mind, please get in touch.

Bird Feeders

Look after your feathered friends and make one or more of these bird feeders. They are ideal for holding fat balls or peanuts, although not really suitable for bird seed. The workshops vary slightly, so please follow the links for full information.

Make a beautiful willow basket. Learn some of the basic weaving techniques which are used in many woven baskets. During this day-long workshop you will have chance to weave your basket base, then create either a small narrow basket or a  wider, shallow table basket. You will complete this with a border and maybe a simple handle if required.
